Institute of Physics, Mathematics, Economics and Innovative Technologies was founded on September 1, 2013 by the merger of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Economic and Management Education and Engineering Faculty (University Rector order number 399 dated August 30, 2013).
The Institute provides training in six areas of expertise in 9 areas of training and qualifications at educational levels “Bachelor”, “Specialist”, “Master”.
The Institute consists of 10 departments, employing 140 teachers and 64 support staff. Among the teachers there are 17 doctors of sciences, professors and 88 candidates of sciences.
The Institute includes 6 research laboratories, 30 specialized training laboratories, 8 training and production workshops, 5 specialized classrooms, 3 specialized laboratories and mechanical workshop providing equipment for physical laboratories. The Institute’s Computer Centre has 10 classrooms and laboratories equipped with PCs that are integrated into the local network and connected to the INTERNET.
The enrollment of students in September 2014 was 654 full time and 286 part-time.
