developed by the British educational organization Pearson Education, have been
introduced into the educational process.
An authorized Pearson Test of English (PTE General) Testing Center operates in the the faculty, with the right to issue international certificates that are recognized by educational institutions and employers around the world.
Owing to the Erasmus+ scholarship program, faculty members have the opportunity to intern and students can study for a semester abroad at European partner Universities.
With the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, Polish studies students undergo short-term studies at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and the Catholic University of Lublin, and also study in parallel at the Polish Academy in Częstochowa within the framework of the
Double Diploma project.
A special aspect of the faculty’s cooperation with foreign partners is the awarding of the title Doctor Honoris Causa to prominent foreign scientists and cultural figures. The Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology was established in 2022 as a result of merging of the Faculty of Philology and the Research Institute of Foreign Languages. Academic study of the native language in Drohobych began in 1940 with the founding of the Teachers’ Institute, and foreign philology has its history since 1963. During this period, almost 20,000 highly qualified specialists were trained – teachers, editors and translators, true connoisseurs of the treasures of the Ukrainian, English, German, French, Polish languages, as well as scholars who work in Ukraine and abroad.
Philology graduates are well-known writers, diplomats, journalists, and heads of educational institutions.
The faculty maintains and develops international relations with leading institutions and organizations in the field of education, science, and culture, cooperating with such foreign partners:
