On October 31, the Faculty of History, Pedagogy and Psychology held a round table on the topic: “Ukraine-EU: dynamics of mutual relations” on the occasion of the founding of the European Union.

The opening remarks were made by: Vasyl Ilnytskyi, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of History of Ukraine and Jurisprudence, and Andriy Zimyanskyi, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Faculty of History, Pedagogy and Psychology.

The issues of the round table covered various aspects of the European integration of Ukraine. In particular, this was confirmed by Viktoria Vaidych’s reports “The state of implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission regarding Ukraine’s accession to the EU”; Yaryna Stefanyshyn “Development of civil society in the EU: experience important for Ukraine”; Olga Klysa “Peculiarities of releasing minors from criminal responsibility in Ukraine and the European Union (using the example of Poland)”; Anastasia Maksimiv “The role of children’s ombudsman in Ukraine and Poland in the context of European integration”; Vasyl Rostotskyi “Ratification of the Rome Statute of the ICC in the context of the harmonization of criminal legislation of Ukraine and the EU”; Anna Purska “The institution of marriage in the country and EU countries (using the example of Sweden)”; Natalia Malik “Problematic aspects of termination of marriage according to the legislation of Ukraine and the EU (using the example of France)”; Veronika Mikhalkiv “Separation, or the regime of separate residence of spouses, in Ukraine and the EU (using the example of Poland)”.

A report on the topic “Istanbul Convention and its analysis” was presented by Viktoria Boyko, a student of the 10-B class at Lyceum No. 4 named after Lesia Ukrainka in Drohobych (teacher, scientific manager L.T. Bihun – graduate of the Faculty of History). This confirms the close connection and cooperation between the university and secondary schools.

The present students of various courses and specialties of the faculty were fascinated by the scientific information of the speakers and took an active part in the discussion.

Summing up, moderator Oleksandra Prots emphasized the irreversibility of Ukraine’s European course. At the end, the participants took a nice joint photo.
