As part of the development of international educational cooperation, an online meeting of the 6th and 9th grades pupils at Sambir Lyceum “Prestige” with students of Drohobych State Pedagogical University took place. The event brought together participants in a joint interdisciplinary eTwinning project dedicated to the history of Ancient Rome.
The pupils’ participation in the project was coordinated by an English teacher Tetyana Hrynkevich. The university was presented by students at the Faculty of Primary Education and Art — Marta Rubash and Ivanna Smerechanska — together with their English teacher Halyna Prystay.
During the meeting, the students presented the results of joint work within the eTwinning project, which unites educational institutions in Ukraine and several European countries. Participants presented interactive materials, creative tasks and research findings on the history of Ancient Rome, integrating knowledge of history, English and digital technologies.
The event became an example of effective cooperation between a secondary school and a pedagogical university, contributing to the development of communication skills, intercultural competence and interest of pupils and students in international educational projects.
