Students of the Faculty of Primary Education and Art Won the International Competition “Touching Points -2025”

The final of the International Inclusive Competition “Touching Points -2025” took place at the end of May bringing together participants from Ukraine, Georgia, Romania, Armenia and the USA.

The organizer of the scientific competition is the Department of Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. The founding partners are the public organization “Inclusive Space. Ukraine Community” (Ukraine, Chernivtsi) and the non-profit organization “Inclusive Practices” (Georgia, Ureki) with the support of the International Association for Community Development (IACD) – a global international network accredited by the UN. The author of the idea of “touching points” is Oksana Hordiychuk, an expert of the International Program for the Development of Inclusive Communities (Ukraine, Chernivtsi).

The main goal of the competition was to identify, popularize and activate inclusive initiatives, authentic activities, unconditional relationships of children, schoolchildren, students, society in general with children/individuals with special educational needs.

According to the results of the event, Drohobych University students Olena Hryhorska (group POI-2125B) and Sofia Shymko (group POA-2226B) won 1st place in the nomination “Inclusion: self-organized volunteering” supervised by Professor Iryna Sadova and Associate Professor Oksana Zhyhaylo.
