On June 17 guests from Poland paid a visit to the International Relations Department – Professor Pawel Pruchniak, the Institute of Polish Philology at Krakow Pedagogical University and Professor Katarzyna Kuczynska-Koszany, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan who is currently at our university under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program.
The Polish partners, who are well-known scholars in the field of Polish literature and philology, are also participants in the international project “Poems in Shelters/Shelter in Verses”, which was held on June 15-16 by the Igor Mienko Polish Scientific and Information Center at Drohobych Pedagogical University with the support of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland.
During an extremely interesting and fruitful meeting, which was also attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations Ihor Hrynyk, Head of the International Relations Department Khrystyna Voytovych, and Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Literature and Polish Studies, Head of the Ihor Meniok Polish Studies Scientific and Information Center at DSPU Vira Menyok, the partners discussed the features of professional training of Polish students, outlined areas of further cooperation between universities, and agreed on training and participation in international projects.
We have a pleasure to announce that on Friday, June 20, a guest lecture by Professor Katarzyna Kuczynska-Kosany will be held in the premises of the Ihor Meniok Polish Studies Scientific and Information Center (Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology) on the topic “Julian Tuwim – a poet of a torn and divided life: the childishness of imagination, the Jewishness of fate, civil (dis)obedience.”
