The first module of the project “Organization and creation of the Polish-Ukrainian Psychological and Medical Centre named after Witelon and Ivan Franko” implemented jointly by Drohobych State Pedagogical University and our Polish partner, the Academic Community, has been successfully completed.
The project is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland under the Polish Aid 2024 program (www.gov.pl/polishaid) with a total budget of PLN 600,000. Targeted financing agreement No. DWR/PP 2024/088/2/2024 was signed on 11.07.2024. The implementation of the first module lasted from June 15 to December 10 2024. It involved the renovation and adaptation of premises in the University student dormitories. The total cost of the work was PLN 300,000.
As of today, all renovation and organizational work has been successfully completed. The premises are ready for modern equipment, which will allow the Centre to provide psychological, medical and rehabilitation assistance.
This was made possible thanks to the well-organized work of the project team, effective coordination and support of partners. Completion of the first module creates a solid foundation for the implementation of the next stage due to start on 1 January 2025. The cost of financing Module II is PLN 300,000.00.
The second stage of the project will include installation of modern equipment in the Centre, developing an educational video course “Help Yourself – Basics of Psychological and Emotional Support”, as well as conducting training on providing psychological support and first aid to students, adults and internally displaced persons.
