For two months (January 19 – February 24, 2025), Associate Professor Natalia Hoyvanovych, Department of Biology and Chemistry, the Faculty of Human Health and Natural Sciences, was a participant in the Eurizon Exchange Program at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (Poland).
During her stay, she conducted research within the framework of the project “Ukrainian-Lithuanian-Polish-Slovakian Synergy for Characterization of Biopolymer Materials Used in Biosensor Analysis of Water Pollution”. The results were new urea-based polymer matrices and AESO-based photopolymers, as well as a PALS study of the subnanometer structure of selected polymer matrices during controlled water sorption/desorption.
Associate Professor Natalia Hoyvanovych conducted two seminars at the Department of Materials Physics: “The Impact of the War in Ukraine on the Development of Education and Science” (February 11, 2025), “3D Printing and AI – Catalysts of Change in the Educational Process” (February 19, 2025). She also discussed with the Polish partners the possibility of holding a scientific exhibition of 3D models at Drohobych University.
Throughout her stay, there was an exchange of pedagogical and scientific experience with colleagues from Marie Curie-Skłodowska University who actively discused the directions for development of education and science in Poland and Ukraine and joint scientific projects.
Natalia Hoyvanovych expresses gratitude to the European project partner, Doctor of Philosophy Bożena Zgardzińska for “active support and interesting exchange of experience, and to the Eurizon Staff Exchange Programme for supporting Ukrainian scientists during the war; also to the University and faculty management for supporting the development of science”.
