From June 2 to 6, 2025 the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Information Activities, Ihor Hrynyk, and the Head of the International Relations Department, Khrystyna Voytovych, visited the University of Greifswald (Germany) within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training Program.
During the week, representatives of the DDPU had the opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of one of the oldest universities in Germany in the field of organizing international cooperation, supporting scientific research and teaching. The program of the visit included meetings with the colleagues from the Department of International Relations, the Research Support Centre, the Institute of Physics, and the Departments of Pedagogy, History and Philology.
A landmark event was the official meeting with the Rector of the University of Greifswald, Professor Katharina Riedel. The discussion touched on the future expansion of academic mobility, participation in joint initiatives and the development of new interuniversity cooperation formats.
During the visit, a meeting was also held with students of the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology of the DDPU – Zlata Khandusenko, Maria Kelnich and Anastasia Kolibek, who are studying in Greifswald under the Erasmus+ program. Over the past years of cooperation, more than 15 students of Drohobych University have had the opportunity to study for a semester at Greifswald university under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program.
We sincerely thank the team of the University of Greifswald for their professionalism, hospitality and friendly atmosphere. The visit became not only a platform for deepening the partnership, but also an expression of European solidarity with Ukrainian educators.
