On November 21-22, a training session titled “Cooperation between universities and schools in international projects of the EU Erasmus + Program to improve teacher training: eTwinning and CBHE” was held in Chernivtsi (moderators: coordinator of the national eTwinning support office Svitlana Kalashnikova, coordinator of the national Erasmus + office Svitlana Shytikova).
The event brought together representatives of national offices, the Department of Higher Education, universities and schools, who discussed modern approaches to integrating the eTwinning platform into the system of professional training of teachers. Representatives of Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University – associate professors Nataliya Hoyvanovych and Halyna Prystay – also participated in the training.
During the work, they got acquainted with the current possibilities of the eTwinning program, in particular with the tools for evaluating school projects, increasing the institutional capacity of universities, developing critical thinking and forming key competencies by means of documentary films.
The universities reported on the results of their activities within the framework of the eTwinning program including achievements, practical cases and developments, and also shared ideas for future initiatives. The practical nature of the training and the exchange of experience between school and university representatives contributed to a friendly atmosphere in the process of discussions and generating ideas.
Associate Professor Nataliya Hoyvanovych also shared the results of the CRED4TEACH project, the development of national recommendations and institutional provisions regulating the acquisition and recognition of microcredentials, and the success of the first pilot microcredentials programs.
Following the event, representatives of Drohobych University agreed to expand cooperation between schools and the university. There is a plan to create new joint educational projects aimed at implementing innovative teaching methods and actively involve students in international interaction.
