Honored the memory: the university creates Holodomor installations and joins City memorial events

On Saturday, November 23, Ukraine honored the memory of the victims of the Holodomors. The day is celebrated every year on the fourth Saturday of November.

On the eve, the students at Drohobych University unveiled installations-reminders dedicated to the Ukrainians who died due to the inhuman cruelty of the moscow totalitarian regime almost a hundred years ago.

Last Saturday, representatives of the university community took part in a city memorial meeting and joint prayer, where they honored the memory of the victims of the Holodomors and political repressions in Ukraine. The meeting took place on the territory of the Memorial Complex “Prison in Stryiska Street”.

Let us recall, in the 20th century the Unkrainians experienced three Holodomors: 1921-1923, 1932-1933 and the famine of 1946-1947. The most severe was the famine of 1932-1933 called the genocide of the Ukrainian people carried out by the communist regime.
