Faculty Members from the Department of Primary Education and Art Participate in an International Academic Conference in Poland

From September 11 to 13, the Ukrainian People’s House in Przemyśl hosted the 7th International Academic Conference titled “Ukrainians and Their Neighbours Through the Centuries: Politics, Economy, Religion, Culture, and Daily Life.” Organized by the Ukrainian Historical Society in Poland (chaired by Professor Roman Drozd), the event brought together scholars from Ukraine, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia. Among the speakers were faculty members from the Department of Primary Education and Art at Drohobych University: Oleksandra Nymylovych, Associate Professor in the Department of Music Theory and Instrumental Training, and Yuliia Osmachko, PhD and lecturer at the Department of Vocal-Choral, Choreographic and Visual Arts. The speakers shared their research findings in the field of musical art with the audience in an engaging manner.

The conference program also featured an exhibition of icons from the interior, architecture and icon-painting studio of Oksana Lopushynska (Przemyśl); the presentation of the “Guardian of Memory” medal to Myroslav Skirka (Chairman of the Association of Ukrainians in Poland), Pavlo Loza (editor of the magazine *Nashe Slovo*, marking the publication’s 70th anniversary), and Myroslav Sopoliha (PhD in Philosophy and History, former director of the Museum of Ukrainian Culture in Svidník, Slovakia); presentations of new publications by Professor Bohdan Halczak and Dr. Mariusz Sawwa; and a screening of the documentary *Vasyl Nahornyi: Mission and Service* (directed by Stanislav Lytvynov).

In an inspiring and collegial atmosphere, conference participants had the opportunity to discuss pressing issues regarding Ukraine’s intercultural interaction with the global community and to collectively explore solutions to the challenges posed by modern realities. Scholars from Drohobych University express their gratitude to the conference organizers for the warm welcome and substantive discussions wishing the participants continued success in their scientific endeavors.
