A delegation from Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University, including Rector and Professor Valentyna Bodak, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Associate Professor Ihor Hrynyk, Dean of the Faculty of History, Pedagogy, and Psychology and Associate Professor Orest Huk, and Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Special Education Tetiana Lohvynenko,, participated in the “International Personnel Week” held at VIA University College (Denmark) on April 7-11, 2026.
The visit took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ international academic mobility program. During the week, the participants of the event presented their higher education institutions, got acquainted with the specialties and educational programs of partners, and discussed opportunities and prospects for cooperation.
Participants also toured the partner university’s facilities, met with representatives of the International Relations Department, and visited social service and educational institutions that serve as internship sites for VIA University College.
During their stay at the Danish university, the delegation participated in a number of meetings with the leadership and academic staff of the partner university’s Department of Social Pedagogy, where they discussed current issues related to the training of social educators in both countries and summarized the results of their joint work over the past years (after all, the collaboration between the two universities, which has been ongoing for several years, is quite productive).
The Drohobych University delegation would like to express its gratitude to Dr. Flemming Østerby Arnfred, Coordinator of the Social Pedagogy Program, for the opportunity to participate in the event – an interesting and informative program, as well as the chance to learn about Danish history and culture.
