On March 5, 2025, the public relations regional coordinator at the Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Ombudsman in Lviv region Mykhailo Rabinovych paid a visit to Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University to monitor the issues of ensuring access to educational services for persons living in the temporarily occupied territories.
The talk at the meeting with Vice-Rector for Research Professor Mykola Pantyuk and Deputy Secretary of the Admissions Committee Ivan Voronchak centred around the functioning of the educational centers “Crimea – Ukraine” and “Donbass – Ukraine” at the university; the difficulties faced by educational institutions when working with applicants from the temporarily occupied territories; opportunities to strengthen the information campaign on the advantages of admission through educational centers, as well as the problems of adaptation of young people from the temporarily occupied territories.
The discussion resulted in recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness of work with applicants from the temporarily occupied territories.
