Bilateral Agreement with Bishop Grosseteste University (Lincoln, Great Britain)

On August 2, 2022, a bilateral cooperation agreement was solemnly signed between the Bishop Grosseteste University (Lincoln, Great Britain) and Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University. The online ceremony of signing the Memorandum was attended by Rector of our university Professor Valentyna Bodak, Vice-Rector Associate Professor Ihor Hrynyk and Head of International Relations Office Lidia Romanyk. Bishop Grosseteste University was represented by Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Neal, Head of International Cooperation Office and Academic Exchanges Professor Wayne Dyble. Claire Axel-Berg, a representative of the Cormack Consultancies Group (the organization that facilitated the establishment of contacts between the two institutions of higher education) also took part in the ceremony.
The memorandum aims to create a long-term partnership between the universities, is the basis for joint work on the development of many bilateral academic activities.
The signing of the Memorandum was preceded by a series of meetings of representatives of partner institutions through the mediation of Cormack Consultancies Group, where possible directions and forms of future cooperation were agreed upon. The parties agreed on the development of cooperation in the field of academic mobility of teachers and students, conducting research and scientific cooperation, exchange of educational programs and online resources, participation in grant projects, cooperation in the library field.
In her speech, the rector of our university, Professor Valentina Bodak, noted the importance of the event, which testifies to the desire of both parties for mutually beneficial cooperation, emphasized the importance of the support of Ukraine from the British partners, expressed the hope that the cooperation will contribute to the improvement of the quality of education, the creation of conditions for the development of professional competence future specialists, will contribute to integration into the European educational space, thanked her colleagues for fruitful conversation and openness to cooperation.
Memorandum is the basis for the expansion of cooperation between both universities and will contribute to the establishment of friendly, partnership relations in the educational, scientific spheres and international cooperation.
