Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, many foreign partners have provided support for internally displaced persons living in the university dormitory. And again they have received aid from Witelon Collegium State University and the “Academic Community” Association (Legnica, Republic of Poland). This time, our colleagues donated food, clothes, shoes, children’s toys, personal hygiene items, bedding sets, duvets and pillows. Donations came from the academic and local communities with indefatigable Dr. Beata Skwarek supervising their delivery.
In addition to her charity work, Dr.Beata Skwarek had a meeting with Associate Professor Ihor Hrynyk, Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, international relations and information activities, and Professor Mykola Haliv, Dean of the Faculty of History where they discussed the prospects for further cooperation between Drohobych University and Witelon Collegium in Legnica. Already this month, a group of Drohobych University students from the faculties of History, Philology, Psychology, Pedagogy and Social work will visit the famous land of Witelon. There are also plans for a longer period including joint conferences.
Drohobych University expresses sincere gratitude to our partners from Poland, especially Dr. Beata Skwarek, for their good will, help and support.
