On March 23, several foreign language students accompanied by associate professor Viktoriya Luchkevych and representatives of the Drohobych District Military Administration – the first deputy head of the DDMA Roman Shlyarp and the head of the international cooperation sector Marianna Maksymova – met with the Honorary Consul of France in the city of Lviv Danylo Yarema.
During the official visit, the Honorary Consul spoke about the structure and mechanism of work of the diplomatic structure, introduced the students to the history of its establishment and functions in the modern context of French-Ukrainian relations.
At the same time, Yuliya Zelena, adviser to the Honorary Consul, illustrated the important educational aspects of the activities of the Honorary Consulate of France emphasizing further opportunities for cooperation in the field of education, namely the French language.
Viktoriya Luchkevych also spoke about joint prospects aimed to develop the French language in Drohobych. In particular, she noted that the intensification of French-Ukrainian relations is an important component of strengthening the educational base for studying the French language by students at Drohobych University.
