On June 6, 2017 the Gaudeamus Student Choir of our University (conductor – Stepan Datsyuk) and the Youth Choir of Dresden (Germany) (conductor – Olaf Katzer) held a concert in the church of St. Bartholomew, Drohobych as a part of the “Ukrainian and German choral music in the dialogue” tour.
The Choir of Dresden, except Drohobych, had tours in Lviv, Ternopil, Kiev (concerts occur as a “dialogue” with local youth choirs). The works by Ukrainian and German composers were sung at the concert. For the Gaudeamus choir this performance was another experience in international cooperation.
The administration of the Institute of Musical Arts is grateful to Assist. Prof. Yaroslav Lopushansky, Oleh Radchenko and Svitlana Voloshanska for their assistance in organizatiojn of the concert.
