The victory of philology students in the XXIII International Ukrainian Language contest named after Petro Jacyk

The faculty of Ukrainian and foreign philology, the university administration sincerely congratulate Anna Svitlozarova, a third-year student on winning the regional stage of the XXIII International Ukrainian Language Contest named after Petro Jacyk, as well as her supervisers – Associate Professors Ulyana Haliv and Maria Stetsyk.
The regional stage of the Competition took place at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Students representing professional pre-university and higher education institutions from various parts of the region competed for the title of the best connoisseur of the Ukrainian language. Drohobych University was represented by Anna Svitlozarova (Faculty of Ukrainian and foreign philology) and Anastasia Matselko (Faculty of elementary education and art).
The proposed tasks covered material from the main linguistic sections – accentology, word formation, lexicology, phraseology, morphology, syntax, stylistics. Anna Svitlozarova demonstrated a high level of knowledge, the ability to thoroughly and creatively express her opinion and took 1st place with a high result of 86 points.
Once again, congratulations to our winner! We wish her inspiration, inexhaustible energy and success in the All-Ukrainian stage of the Contest!
