Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University has partnerships with universities and other institutions in more than 20 countries worldwide and more than 70 cooperation agreements. On October 24-27, 2023, the university delegation – rector, Prof.Valentyna Bodak, vice-rector for international relations, Assoc. Prof. Ihor Hrynyk and the head of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Correctional Education, Prof. Tetiana Logvinenko were on a working visit to the city of Oradea (Romania).
A number of meetings were held with the University of Oradea administration, scientific and pedagogical staff, in particular the social and humanitarian faculty, during which the main directions and perspectives of cooperation were outlined. Among other things, an agreement was signed regarding the participation of Drohobych University students in the Erasmus+ academic mobility program. The preparation of a new project on inclusive education was launched within the framework of a mixed intensive program with the participation of Drohobych university students, Romanian and Belgian partners.
It is worth noting that the cooperation is implemented thanks to the support of our long-standing Belgian partners – the Oradea Non-Profit Organization and the VIVES University of Applied Sciences. Within the framework of tripartite cooperation, in 2023, a mixed intensive program “Creativity and art in social work” has already been implemented, and 8 students of our university completed a one-month internship at social institutions in Belgium and Romania. In order to continue the practice of monthly internships, the delegation visited a number of social service institutions in the city of Oradea, where they received positive feedback about Ukrainian students from Drohobych and positive intentions to continue such cooperation in the future.
