Participation in the project “Dialogue in Action”

On 4-7 October 2016 the post-graduate student of Valery Skotny Department of Philosophy Ruslan Konyk took part in the project “Dialogue in Action” (Rakhiv, Transcarpathian Region), which was created and implemented by the Scientific and Publishing Association “Spirit and Letter” in partnership with the Ukrainian center for nonviolent communication and reconciliation “Dignity Space”, Charity Foundation “Children of hope and love,” Youth Initiative “Heart in hands”, National Center “Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” with the support of human rights program of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine.

One of the teachers and project experts was Jan van Kert (Netherlands), an international coach in Nonviolent Communication and mediation, founder of “VINE trainings and coaching”. He shared not only his skills and abilities to engage in a dialogue, but also his experience of work in Kenya, South Africa, Syria and other conflict areas of the world. In his presentation, he said that only an open and non-violent dialogue can lead to peace.
