The meeting of the University employees devoted to the Day of Educationalists is taking place on the 4^th of October, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., in the assembly hall of the main building of the University.
On October 2 – 3, 2013, the Faculty of Philology of Drohobych State Teacher Training University is holding the All-Ukrainian scientific conference with international participators “The Natiosophical Paradigm of Taras Shevchenko’s Artistic Universum” devoted to Shevchenko’s 200^th birth anniversary.

A special meeting of the University Scientific Board, where the files of vacant position seekers will be considered, is taking place on the 30^th of September, 2013.
On September 19^th, 2013, a meeting of the University Scientific Board was held. At the meeting, the Scientific Board considered the results of national graduation examinations of 2013 and the results of the University students’ participation in the 2^nd stage of All-Ukrainian Student Competition (2012/2013 academic year). Besides that, one collection of scientific studies, two learner’s guides, and two teaching programs were recommended to be published.

The professors and lecturers of the University, as well as its trade-union committee, have responded to the call of the Faith and Justice social organization for the fund raising to treat Ivanka Tanchuk, an orphan, a student of Drohobych Oil and Gas College. On the 27^th of October they transferred 15,540 UAH to her tutor Vira Ilnytska’s account at the VAB bank. The University administration thanks the students and the University employees for contributing to the amount transferred.

On September 19^th, 2013, a Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Nadiya Skotna, the Rector of the University, who is also the Head of Practical Psychology Chair, and a Candidate of History, Professor Leonid Tymoshenko, the Dean of the Faculty of History and the Head of Ancient Ukrainian History and Special Historical Disciplines Chair were given the degrees of Honoured Professors of Ivan Franko Drohobych State Teacher Training University at the meeting of the University Scientific Board.
At the meeting, the University Scientific Board also decided to award the Decorations of the Board to Professor Tetyana Bilenko, a Doctor of Philosophy, and Professor Dmytro Lutsyk, a Candidate of Pedagogy.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, according to its Order 1281 of September 09, 2013, in 2013/14 is carrying out the All-Ukrainian Student Research Competition in natural, technical, and humanitarian sciences. Two rounds will be held; the first one at higher education institutions of the III – IV accreditation levels in October to December 2013, and the second one at basic higher education institutions in January to March 2014.
