On August 1, 2018, there was another meeting of Professor Rovshan Khalilov with the rector of the university Professor Nadiya Skotna.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the results of the Joint Ukraine-Azerbaijan International Research and Education Center of Nanobiotechnology and Functional Nanosystems (Directors – Associate Professor Taras Kavetskyy (Ukraine), Professor Rovshan Khalilov (Azerbaijan)) and prospects for further cooperation.
The event was also attended by the Dean of the Department of Biology and Natural Sciences, Associate Professor Svitlana Voloshanska and Associate Professor Taras Kavetskyy. Professor Rovshan Khalilov spoke about the achievements of the Center in the 2017/2018 academic year, noting the publication of a series of research papers in journals with impact factor, including Artificial Cells, Nanomedicine and Biotechnology (2017/2018 impact factor: 3.026), Micro & Nano Letters (2017/2018 impact factor: 0.841), as well as in the book “Advanced Nanotechnologies for Detection and Defense Against CBRN Agents”, published by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Series B: Physics and Biophysics, in collaboration with Iranian researchers, namely – Dr. Abolfazl Akbarzadeh and his team. The situation and structure of the Center were discussed as well as the information about the Center was posted on the university website.
In addition, they discussed the prospects for cooperation for the period 2018-2020, where the main efforts will focus on joint research, publication of results in scientific journals, conducting scientific seminars (including those on-line) and the formation of grant projects.
In conclusion, the Rector Professor Nadiya Skotna noted the high scientific level of the work done and the importance of developing cooperation with world-known national and foreign scientists, who are the partners of the Center.
