Drohobych University pianists are laureates of international competitions!

A few weeks ago, the students at the piano section, the Department of Music-Theoretical Disciplines and Instrumental Training at Drohobych University made original Christmas and New Year presents having won a number of international competitions and art festivals.
Maria Derpak, a student of Associate Professor Ludomyr Filonenko, won the 1st prize at the First International Competition of Instrumentalists “Winter Rhapsody 2022” (Ukraine – Khmelnytskyi, Poland – Krakow, Turkey – Ankara, Argentina – Buenos Aires).
Natalia Kasynets, a student of Associate professor Oleksandra Nimylovych, won the Grand Prix Award at the Ukrainian-Croatian arts festival-competition “Stars of Croatia 2022” (Zagreb).
Marta Klyuchynska, a student of Professor Oksana Freite, won the 2nd prize at the International Ukrainian-Canadian art competition “The Way – Шлях 2022” (Kyiv – Ottawa).
Valentina Perlovska, master’s student in the class of Associate Professor Oleksandra Nimylovych took III place during the “Student of the Year – 2022” award ceremony in the “Student-artist” nomination, as she was a multiple laureate of first prizes in international competitions, in particular “Stars of Croatia 2022” and the Canadian-Ukrainian festival of children’s and youth creativity “Toronto 2022“.
It is worth noting that the competition program of all the winners featured the works of Ukrainian composers, who carry the message of strength of spirit, indomitability and original creative potential of Ukrainians to the world music community. We congratulate the talented pianists, their tireless mentors and wish them further creative achievements with faith and hope for our joint Victory!
