To honor the feat of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and perpetuate the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and to perpetuate the great human, civic and national courage and self-sacrifice, fortitude and resilience of citizens,
The Decree of the President of Ukraine established February 20th as the Day of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. The Ukrainian Angels stood for the truth, freedom, and independence of their country, and at the price of sacrifice they showed that our Ukrainian spirit is indomitable, and the people are unconquered.
With their courage, Ukrainians have proven that it depends on each of us in which country we will live, that there is nothing more effective than the unity and cohesion of the people around a set goal.
A deep bow to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred for their self-sacrifice and devotion to Ukraine! May the bright memory of their feat give us strength and inspiration in this difficult time, strengthen our spirit and faith in a better future.
The Drohobych University delegation headed by Acting Rector Professor Mykola Pantyuk honored the feat of the Revolution of Dignity by laying flowers and lighting candles at the foot of the memorial sign – a swan pierced by a sniper’s bullet in its flight, in the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred Square.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!
