March 28, 2016. The Department of methods of musical education and conducting of the Institute of Music Arts organized a Conducting Contest, which was dedicated to the anniversaries of the composers D. Bortniansky, A. Vakhnyanyn, A. Hnatyshyn, S.Vorobkevych, M.Verykivsky, P. Bazhansky and F. Kolessa.
The jury consisting of director of the Institute of Music Arts, Professor Stepan Datsyuk (jury chairman); head of the department of folk musical instruments and vocals, Professor Korneliy Syatetsky; Associate Professor Irina Clish named the winners: Third place – Yuriy Bobitko (class of Associate Professor Yu. Dobush) and Diana Fedyshyn (class of Professor S. Salii).
Second place – Ivan Bobitko (class of Professor P. Hushovaty) and Natalia Demkiv (class of Professor I. Bermes).
First place – Victor Fedyshyn (class of Professor I. Bermes) and Ivanna Patsula (class of associate professor L. Lastovetska).
