Ihor Virt, PhD, DSc (Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences), Professor.
In 2001 defended doctoral dissertation on the topic “Photoelectric properties of narrow-gap semiconductor materials”. Co-organizer of international scientific and technical conferences “Laser Technologies” 2011 – 2019. Member of the Specialized Academic Council of the Institute of Thermoelectricity of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Author of more than 350 scientific and educational works.
Research interests: solid state electronics, the physical foundations of electronic instrument making. Thin-film materials science, laser technologies in materials science, physico-chemical bases of growth processes and formation of thin films; oxide, nitride and chalcogenide semiconductor materials.
