The faculty was founded in 1999 and consists of 4 departments: the department of Social Pedagogy and Correctional Education, the department of General Pedagogy and Preschool Education, the department of Practical Psychology, the department of Psychology.
The teaching and educational process provide 17 members with Doctor’s degrees, professors, 50 candidates of sciences, associate professors and 7 lecturers.
The graduates of this Faculty will be able to work as: a social worker (a social teacher) in educational establishments, health centers, social protection establishments, internal affairs agencies, centers of social services for families, children and youth, customs authorities, orphanages, boarding schools, institutions for children with disabilities, vocational guidance and employment centers, leisure facilities, children and youth homes, children’s health camps, preschools; a psychologist, a practical psychologist in educational institutions, social protection social protection establishments, psychological services at enterprises, institutions and organizations, extracurricular educational establishments, penitentiary institutions, detention centers for children with deviant behavior, children deprived of parental care, in family planning centers, centers of social services for families, children and youth, kindergartens; an organizer of pre-school education, a teacher of preschoolers in different types of pre-school educational establishments.
