On April 26 – 28, 2017 International scientific conference “Ukraine – Poland: risks of youth lifestyle. What we have and what we aim at?” was organized by Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University in Drohobych together with Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv Regional Council, the State agency for solving alcoholism problems (Poland), National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, the Foundation “Caritas” of Sambir-Drohobych Diocese of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. The conference was held in two stages – in Lviv and Drohobych. On April 26 its first meeting was held at the session hall of the Lviv regional council, were our university was represented by the Pro-rector for International Cooperation Assoc. Prof. Yuri Vovk, Prof. Svitlana Schudlo, Assoc. Prof. Iryna Mirchuk and lecture Liliya Vovk. On April 28 the conference continued its work in Drohobych in the Ivan Franko University. The Participants were welcomed by the City Mayor Taras Kuchma, Rector Prof. Nadiya Skotna, Head of CF “Caritas” Father Ihor Kozankevych, Director of the State Agency for solving alcoholism prob (PARPA) Krzysztof Brzuska, director of PARPA for public education, analysis, and international cooperation Katarzyna Okulicz-Kozaryn. The Ukrainian and Polish scholars presented the teachers, doctors, social workers, academics, and clergy of the region the results of sociologists of Drohobych, Lviv and Warsaw’s questioning students about the risks of lifestyle of today’s youth, and presented the modern European experience in organizing prevention work among young people, as well as discussed the organization of effective strategy against the risky behavior of young people in Lviv.
