March 24, 2016 the first public lecture on “Franz Liszt and Ukraine: following the music of a heart that pulsates with love” was held in the Austrian Library within the framework of the recently launched scientific and cultural project “Austria and Ukraine: intercultural dialogue” The report of the Institute of Music lecturer Zoryana Hnativ acquainted the participants with the comprehensive legacy of the famous composer and pianist Franz Liszt, whose life and career are closely connected with Ukraine. The teachers and students also watched with interest the documentary “Love given by the stars. Franz Liszt and Carolina. ” The report was followed with a discussion, moderated by the Austrian Library director Yaroslav Lopushansky. The next lecture on “Art behind the back: the mosaic of Ukrainian bus stops in Galicia” will be held on April 28, 2016.
