The round table discussion participants
On August 20 a round table discussion was held at the biological faculty with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belgium to Ukraine Luc Jacobs, Secretary Catherine Hoffings, the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical activities Myron Chernets monk, the dean of the Faculty of Biology Svetlana Voloshanska, the dean of the Faculty of Social Studies and Humanities Ihor Hrynyk and the head of the department of anatomy, physiology and valeology Vitaliy Fil. The round table discussion participants presented the Ukrainian-Belgian cooperation, the existing projects and focused on the issues of Ukrainian-Belgian Centre for Environment and Human Health which conducts research for the projects: “Soil Remediation”, “The After-petroleum World”, “Borislav remix (reclamation )”,”The Health of the Future”, “The Sprout”,”The Health of Carpathians Plants”, “Oil flax”, “Carpathian water sources.” During the visit, the delegation met with the city council, including Mayor Taras Kuchma, discussed the possibility of international cooperation between Ukrainian and Belgian companies and institutions.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belgium to Ukraine Luc Jacobs promised to fully support and assist in establishing new relationships between the universities of Ukraine and Belgium.
