He received his Combined Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Ivan Franko Lviv State University (now Ivan Franko Lviv National University) in 1993. He received his doctorate degree from the Department of Physical Electronics Chernivtsi State University (now Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University), in 1998 under the supervision of Prof. A.I. Savchuk. PhD Thesis: “Magneto optical properties of semimagnetic semiconductors and their quantum size structures”. In 2016 He received his Doctor of Science degree from the Department of Physics of Semiconductors and Nanostructures, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. DSc Thesis: “Optical and magnetooptical spectroscopy of quantum size structures of wide band gap semiconductors with magnetic impurities”. Member of the organizing committee of the VI, VII and VIII International “School-Conferences “Current Problems of Physics of Semiconductors” (Ukraine, 2009, 2011, 2013). Member of the organizing committee of the IX International Conferences “Topical Problems of Semiconductor Physics” (Ukraine, 2016). Author of more than 150 scientific and educational works

Research interests include growth of single crystals, thin films, nanostructures and nanocomposites. Optical and magneto -optical spectroscopy of low-dimensional structures of the semiconductors. Synthesis, properties and applications of semiconductor quantum dots and their bionanoconjugates.

Lectures of the disciplines:

  • Optical properties of semiconductors and dielectrics;
  • Spin effects in semiconductors and nanostructures;
  • Magnetic properties of nanostructures;
  • Methods of teaching physics in higher education institutions;
  • Methods of teaching physics;
